We’re here to help improve the day-to-day life for people in direct provision!

At the start of the pandemic we setup a page called CoronaVirusVolunteers, to support volunteers and frontline workers with the onset of Covid.

One day, we received a message from an asylum seeker 'urgently needing gloves, masks, sanitizer, soap & bleach'.

To help, we set up a GoFundme... and that's how we began!

What we've done (so far!)

Fast forward a few months and despite a global pandemic, lockdowns and needing to work almost entirely online, we've managed to:

  • Raised over €55k in donations

  • Donated €150k worth of sanitary products

  • Create an incredibly welcoming community of people and businesses determined to make a difference, and

  • above all- have been fortunate enough to spend quality time with some amazing people in direct provision!

Where to from here?

Our latest initiatives, Let’s Match Mums and Let’s Drop are in full swing, so make sure to check those links out to learn more!

We will also continue to raise awareness for direct provision, with the aim of enacting structural change to forever change the system that asylum seekers experience when coming into Ireland.

We hope that by sharing stories from people living in direct provision and celebrating the little moments of joy that come from our DP drops, we can enact empathy from Irish communities and together put an end to direct provision.
